Yesterday I got 5 emails from an ebay customer, sent via ebay to my ebay
userid, telling me to go shop for their products (or something).

Today ebay emailed me to say "It appears that your eBay password has become
known to a third party."

That's nice of them to let me know they messed up. Of course I never clicked
anything in any email and I doubt my password _was_ actually compromised. My
guess is someone may have been trying to crack it or something so ebay
changed the password. (?)

But now I can't get in. I tried answering the questions under "I Forgot my
Password", but it's not working -not sure if it's minor discrepencies in
what I'm typing or maybe those details have changed too, but nothing seems
to work there.

Anyway, I email ebay and am expecting a reply sometime by 2014.
My guess is they won't do squat, but I was wondering if anyone else had a
similar experience and how/if it was resolved?
