If you are addicted to (or stuck with) mac software, you're
also stuck with the only hardware they will run on, no matter
how old, decrepit, and slow they become by modern standards.
There are many other examples of hardware that sell for many
times the original price because people are stuck with proprietary
systems (hardware and software). Dunno why this comes as
any surprise.
