I turn on the unit and it gets stuck on the "WELCOME" message.

Usually when you turn the unit on, you see the "WELCOME" message for a
few seconds then the date and time. At this time you can turn the
unit on and use it.

But since it is stuck on the "WELCOME" message nothing works. Can't
turn the unit on, can't use it.

Called Sony and they claim it needs service. I just had it serviced 2
weeks ago for the "HDD ERROR" problem and that cost me $119 plus
shipping to Sony. Of course they have no idea what it needs, just
that it needs service............and if I held the line for another
10-15 minutes they would have been happy to tell me that
amount..............but they still have no idea what it needs!

Has anyone had this problem?
