Hello,

I've got a Panasonic DMR-ES25S DVD Recorder and the remote control on the
unit won't work most of the time. It will usually turn the unit on and off,
but that's it. I can't even get it to start or stop player, much less get
into the menu and record anything. The controls on the front of the unit
work fine. I've made sure that new batteries were put into the remote, but
to no avail I get no more than ON and OFF functionality.

I've had the unit place in two different rooms, upstairs and downstairs in
the basement. I even made sure that the batteries were good by testing them
with a meter. I've tried 3 different sets too.

Anyone run into a problem like this? Anyone got the fix?
