Consider that both contingents have a computer in their platform,
THEN the video handler circuitry, THEN the audio handler circuitry,
THEN any attached licensing fees for having DTS or THX certifications.

It's gonna be a while.

Mine has two SHARC DSPs in it, and they are not cheap now, and they
will not likely be cheap any time soon.

So some lame, does less than the spec CRAP, perhaps, but a fully
compliant, built for the HD realm purpose machine WILL have a high
price attached to it. Ther are just too many high end parts in them.

Where are all the $50 DTS and THX receivers at?

Oh... that's right... they cost so damned much to make, they'll
hold a high purchase price for the next 3 decades!

SAME SCENARIO! Get used to it. If you want to play... REALLY
PLAY, you are going to have to pay.

If you want to revert to shitware, just stick with DVD and your
upconverter player. Then you can have your target price all you want.

Whoopie fuckin' doo. EASY ANALYSIS.
