It seems that you get extra functionality in so far as you can play and
change tracks played from the Ipod via the stereo player controls including
displaying the track information on the stereo's display rather than (as I
have to on my Rio or Navman ) fiddling about with the joggle button on the
Ipod rather safer when driving especially if your car stereo has remote
controls on the steering column.
