Good point. I'm definitely dealing with a little of that. There's
also the negative changes in Office 2007 to deal with.

Fortunately, I can have both worlds. I have my XP desktop for legacy
compatibility, but I need to start embracing today's technlogy before
it becomes yesterday's.

Interestingly, the 4 year old XP desktop seems to run about as fast as
the new Core 2 Duo Vista laptop. The laptop seems burdened by Vista
and slower hard disk, so it doesn't feel like any real improvement
except for the mobility aspects, for what it's worth.
