Download, install, and run Audacity (you may have to install LAME for the
export later). Load the MP3 into the program. Play it back and select the
area you want to keep. Under the edit menu choose trim. Refine the selection
further by zooming in selecting areas you don't want and hitting delete,
this gives very fine control over what to keep. Under the file menu choose
Export as MP3, save it. The file you saved is now just the section you
wanted.
