 There are two forks from cdrecord and both are broken, but nobody
 forces you to use these defective forks.
 
 Just use a recent original from:
 
 ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/cdrecord/alpha/
 
 and make sure to install cdrecord, readcd & cdda2wav suid root.
