The show had its moments in some of the earlier seasons (pre-SciFi network
and the first couple of seasons on SciFi), but it probably should have been
canned several seasons ago. What is funny to me is that the SciFi channel
still claims it as an "original" show of theirs even though it started out
on Showtime or one of those other cable/satellite movie networks. I always
liked the comedy myself, as opposed to any drama elements. The show may not
be much these days, but the network probably has to keep it on life support;
or otherwise the network would go off the air entirely when you look at
their other programming. With the exception of Battlestar Galactica and
Firefly reruns, its just one crappy B-movie creature feature after another,
such as "Killer Mutant Worms from the Galactic Garbage Dump" or some such
unwatchable nonsense. Oh and I almost forgot, the Academy Award winning
caliber programming such as Scare Tactics, Ghost Hunters, etc, - yep, some
really top-notch programming.
