Thank you for the suggestions.
I updated my Lite-On firmware to the latest and tried ImgBurn.
Interesting, ImgBurn gave me the option to burn at 4x, but when I did
it started at 5.8x and went up to 6.1x.
I 11:50:12 Write Mode: DVD
I 11:50:12 Write Type: DAO
I 11:50:12 Write Speed: 4x
I 11:50:12 Link Size: Auto
I 11:50:12 Test Mode: No
I 11:50:12 BURN-Proof: Enabled
I 11:50:12 Filling Buffer... (40 MB)
I 11:50:13 Writing LeadIn...
I 11:50:49 Writing Image... (LBA: 0 - 1753183)
I 11:58:00 Synchronising Cache...
I 11:58:03 Closing Track...
I 11:58:04 Finalising Disc...
I 11:58:23 Image MD5: 6d403a070413591ad3d5131275794f91
I 11:58:23 Operation Successfully Completed! - Duration: 00:08:11
I 11:58:23 Average Write Rate: 8,154 KB/s (5.9x) - Maximum Write Rate:
8,454 KB/s (6.1x)
Both Nero and ImgBurn show 2.4, 4, 6, 8 and 16x without a disk. I'm
using TDK printable disks the IFOInfo shows will burn at 6x and 8x.
DVDIdentifier shows the same disk writeable at 1,2.4,4,6-8. Shouldn't
I be able to force the write to 2x or 4x?
