Hello all,
Call it spam, but there's little else happening here and I've been here for
 some time so... :)

I would like you to know that my new book is available to buy online. I
wrote it under the psuedonym "Stanley Rumm" because my name just doesn't
 suit a title like this.

It's not too expensive and I really think people will enjoy it.

The story concerns an 89 year old man who loses his little dog. A nine year
old girl insists they go look for it and they end up travelling the world
 together, looking for the dog.

It is probably kinda described as a kids'/young adults' book (11+ ish), but
things change throughout and it all ends up being something more than that.
You'll see what I mean if/when you read it. I think, ideally, those who have
already been through childhood, puberty, etc. will enjoy it most.

So far, I know of 12 year olds and 64 year olds and a lot of ages in between
who have read and enjoyed it.
So far nobody has not enjoyed it (and I REALLY would be honest if it was
 otherwise).

I would tell you if I thought you might not like it or if it might not be
worth the paltry price of it. I'm sure those of you that know me will know
 that.

It should be available on all online bookshops shortly (if not already), but
so far I've spotted it on
 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ooyay/dp/1598582801/ref=sr_1_1/202-2647942-9310202?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1176242481&sr=8-1

and (for those in the US),

....or just go to those sites and search for 'ooyay'.

SAVE ON SHIPPING COSTS BY BUYING 2 OR MORE!

Please tell others -or buy some copies as presents!

If you have a favourite online bookshop that does not stock it yet, let me
know and I'll see if it can/will be available there.

Hopefully it will be available in Irish 'bricks&mortar' bookshops within a
couple of months -but it's not there yet.
If you'd like to bring along the following numbers, there's no reason why
your local bookstore couldn't locate it for you...
 ISBN-10: 1598582801
 ISBN-13: 978-1598582802

 [*-- Potted History follows --*]

This book is currently available "print on demand". That means if/when you
buy online, your individual order will be printed & shipped within a few
 days (hopefully within 24hrs).
I need to do some further work on getting it available in Irish bookshops
 (and hopefully thereafter, further afield).

 Q. "So how come this book wasn't picked up by a REAL publisher?" I hear you
 cry.

 A. Believe me, I would love that, and I tried.
But honestly, I failed to get it read for over 2 years or so, by anyone in
the business who might be able to make it so.

My best guess is because publishing is a risky business and they need to
know in advance just how many numbers they will shift.

I tried everything to instill some kind of curiosity in people in the
publishing world, but it seems to me that they are all full up and in no
need of anything original in order to make money.

This book is an unknown -there is not really anything like it that I know
 of.

Publishers and agents nowadays have a lot to choose from.
When others can list 5 or 10 similar books or authors, then the risk to them
 is lessened somewhat.

I _did_ manage to find an editor who read it and said it was "refreshingly
 original and bursting with ideas".
But she was not in a position to do anything more with it.

If you think of something to say about this book, please comment on it (pro
or con) on one of the amazon sites to let others know.
