btw- I too bemoan the 'left behinds' due to the advance of progress;
films not yet on DVD for example, but I too somewhat follow along with
appreciating the new developments.

At home I have both CD & analog tape players, sVHS, Laserdisk, _and_
DVD machines, and even a phonograph or two.

Do I have a flat screen TV? No. Would I like one?, eh maybe. Better
yet, at least for now would be a cheap HD to Analog tuner for my
conventional TV set so I can get the other stations' broadcast off the
air.

I mostly watch films on DVD, only occasionally on VHS. I prefer what I
see on screen (most DVDs I find/seek out are widescreen) and don't
really obsess over having the latest tech or anything.

DVD - It's 'smooder'.
