"Your little kids will probably be amused by the adventures of Miles the
Goose and the cornucopia of wacky diversions he has at his disposal.
There's enough singing and puppetry and sensory overload to last at
least until Schenectady. That being said, allow me to state for the
record (court stenographer, please take note) that Are We There Yet? is
one of the weirdest, creepiest kids' discs I've ever seen."

BOTTOM OF THE SEA (reviewed by Adam Arseneau, overall score 82/100):
"This one definitely subverts the expectations. Where one expects the
film to be romantic, it is paranoid and manic. Where the film should
be paranoid, it is offbeat and wacky. Interjected between both states
are references to scuba diving for no apparent reason. And that's
pretty much it."

"Reed's vocals, by turns sarcastic, cynical, world-weary, and
exasperating, remain an acquired taste after nearly 40 years. But when
the man works up a heart full of angst, it's difficult to remain
uninvolved. His music could be the soundtrack for a nocturnal road trip
across some post-apocalyptic wasteland scattered with twisted iron
beams, castaway hypodermics, and bleached bones, glowing pale in the
moonlight."

"The film contains some beautiful Alaskan wildlife cinematography,
including one truly stunning shot of a grazing Caribou herd that must
have numbered in the thousands. For contrast, we get an aerial view of
the massive, grotesque Prudhoe Bay drilling operation that abuts ANWR to
the west."

TRIBUTE (reviewed by Erick Harper, overall score 90/100):
"In the midst of all this nostalgia, the sudden appearance of George W.
Bush was jarring and felt out of place, like Freddie Prinze, Jr. showing
up to a reunion of the cast of The Breakfast Club."

THREE MEN AND A CRADLE (reviewed by Joel Pearce, overall score 84/100):
"I find it interesting that Three Men and a Cradle was directed by a
woman. The perspective is unique, though it's difficult to tell whether
it should be read as her understanding of a male desire to nurture, or
her creation of an ideal trio of men, transformed in a few short months
from wild bachelors to committed family men."
