What mic are you using? If this is being used by "little kids",
can they even handle an RE50? It is quite large and for smaller
kids, they may need both hands just to hold on to it. An alternate
might be an EV 635A which is another favorite general-purpose
interview mic. In fact an RE50 is actually a 635A inside a larger
case with some insulation between. (Note that the 635 without
the "A" is an old "salt-shaker" antique)

You could also have them try wearing headphones to hear the
result of bad mic handling techniques. Nothing like a bit of real-
time reinforcement to help them understand the consequences.

You can have Redco make one for you.
I just used their online form to determine that they will
charge $19.50US for a 15-foot cable with XLR to mini
phone. You would have to give them special instructions
for the wiring, but it is pretty straightforward. You can
likely buy ready-made cables from places like Markertek,
etc. (but likely at higher prices than Redco)
