I'm developing some software (for Windows) that generates .AVI files and
then needs to burn them to a video DVD.

What software packages have the ability to burn a DVD from a textual or XML
description of what should be on it? I know ConvertXToDVD does this. So
does the Windows Vista DVD Maker, I'm told.

Nero Vision API (for programmers) has an XML interface but it's not clear
that Nero Vision itself (the application program) can use these XML files --
can it?

What other software has this capability?
