It's a long shot, but do you have a DVD drive on your computer ?

- if so (and perhaps even if not, as it's a *very* useful program) try
downloading VLC from http://www.videolan.org - it can play DVDs, and
just about any other media type you can throw at it (including FLV
files from the likes of YouTube).

If it works, it might be a case of "ripping" the disc on the computer
and burning a fresh copy without any protection.

For that, i'd suggest a combination of the following...

DVDShrink
DVDdecrypter
RipIt4Me

'Shrink might be able to access the data directly, but if it has weird
and wonderful protection on the disc (some Sony titles won't even play
on their own freakin' DVD players, they've buggered around with them
that much!), you might need to use RipIt4Me - which in turn utilises
features of 'Shrink and 'decrypter to create a working disc.
