As someone involved in the process, I think you would be surprised
at how difficult/expensive it is to get quality translations of highly
technical material and then have it checked independently by
equally quallified technical experts native to the target language.
One only needs to remember the last incomprehensible "instructions"
from some consumer goods from China, et.al. to see how quickly one
can end up with senseless gibberish.
Presumably they don't attempt to translate AmEnglish to BrEnglish?
