ISTR some RCE encoded discs refuse to play on non-region-locked
hardware, but this might be player specific - as will be some of the
more exotic "branching" employed in some films (mainly for alternate
endings and suchlike AFAIK) :-}

For unlock codes for remote-control altered hardware, check AVforums
and vcdhelp.com - preferably before you buy !
