Bit late coming to the party Foggy! But welcome anyhow.
Both phrases mean the same thing "Refuse Engineer" = "Binman"
Cheggers is wrong, a disc that is region free simply doesn't have the
region coding on the disc and so will play in any player in the world.
Colin kinda brushes on a issue that may be relevant, in that when the
player and the disc talk to each other, some discs may not work with the
player that claims to be region free. The best players are the ones
that lie and will claim to be the same region as the disc in it "You're
region 1, hey I'm reagion 1 too!" But this is only important to a hand
full of discs that had this RCE thing on it, but they are so few and far
between, I wouldn't be bothered making it a consideration. Especially
if you are only just getting a DVD player, I can't see you scouring the
DVD shops of the world for certain discs. Do you even think you would
buy any foreign discs? Or would you just be picking them up in ASDA?
