Right now the best deal is probably a program called SoundTaxi and one
of the "eat all you want" music rental services, like Napster or Rhapsody.
All the music you want for $15/month and a free 2 week trial to get you
started. No need to figure out how to send money to Russia. Yesterday it was
binary usenet groups and this is still a viable option, with lots of hard to
find surprises. Grabit is a good freeware program for this. NewsBin Pro is a
better shareware option. There are all sorts of premium news servers that
make it a lot easier. Giganews is one of the best, Buzzard News is a good
budget choice. There are _many_ other good servers out there. The important
questions are: retention rate, how long they keep binary posts, bandwidth
and price. Tomorrow, who knows? The beat goes on.
