$400/h seems like a lot. Could the tapes be sent to you as NTSC? I
have seen facilities here in the UK charging about $120/h for the
conversion.

The wouldn't bother converting comment was only valid if you'd shot 24P
and PAL only being 1fps different.

It seems you are in luck. Mike Kujbida is the local Vegas expert here
and I'm sure he wouldn't mind helping you with the Vegas workflow. I am
sure he will chip in and explain how best to tackle the job from a Vegas
perspective.
