Lee, I'm glad to have (hopefully) been of help.
Tell farss (Bob) that I sent you . My handle on the Sony forum is
rs170a if you're browsing around there.
I'm curious about something though.
You said that you originally shot in 1080i 60 HDV format which Vegas 7
handles quite well, even without the Cineform codec.
The 60 in your format line tells me that it's NTSC. If it was PAL, it'd
be 50 so I'm not sure why you think you have PAL fooatge.
What camera did you use for the shoot?
