Mike: the footage that I shot is for a documentary I'm making about a
walk I took across most of continental Europe. (more info at
http://www.madridtokiev.com). The bulk of the material was shot by
myself, first person style, with Sony's HVR A1U HDV camera.
However, at 3 points during the trip, Deutsche Welle television joined
me to shoot news magazine stories about my journey. They've agreed to
let me use some of this footage in my own documentary. The material
they shot was in DigiBeta and BetaSP, naturally in the PAL format.
Basically they just gave me dupes of the tapes and said "good luck".
So this is why I'm turning to the board for help on how to actually
use the footage.
I've joined the Vegas boards you mentioned, and I emailed Bob Grant
and mentioned your name. With all this help I should be able to have
this footage in a useable form within a month, I reckon.
Thanks again,
Lee
