Well, the Oppo will play the top of a tuna can :-).

The Toshy plays HD-DVDs but its output tops out at 720p/1080i. The 981
will up-convert to 1080p.

My guess is that Oppo will come out with something that plays HD-DVD,
BluRay, and everything the 981 plays. When and for what price, who knows?
