There is a distinct difference between OTA broadcast HD and HiDef discs
when compared to Satellite and Cable HiDef. Bandwidth is the biggest
detractor for the latter as in not having enough unless they use lots of
compression.

With my satellite HD, changing to 720p doesn't alter it much at all, but
you can tell it with OTA or DVDs.

As to upconverting to 1080p, I suppose someone is doing it, but as I'm
not in that particular market these days, I don't know who.
