You want to mock people who spend big on weddings, fine. But then don't
be surprised when others mock you right back about what YOU spend your
money on.

If someone has accumulated major financial assets and wants to spend a
big chunk of that on a wedding bash, so what?

Just because it's silly to me, or to you, is NO reason to think it's
silly to them.

Wouldn't you be pissed if YOU wanted to spend YOUR OWN money on
something and everyone was critisizing you because your purchase choice
didn't please THEM?

Wouldn't you want people to shut up and mind their own business?

Yeah, I think blowing huge money on a wedding is silly.

But the attitude of "I know how YOU should run your life" scares me way
more than an overpriced wedding.

For what it's worth.
