I am involved in a small church that uses a projector during the
services. Normally this is used to loop a powerpoint of upcoming
events or display the words of the songs we are singing, but more
recently they have been wanting to use it during the services.
Frequently I am given a DVD, VHS tape, or a link on YouTube that they
want played during a point in the service and we keep running into
problems with various formats and starting/stopping. The main problems
that I run into are the various formats (some copy protected) and
setting the appropriate start/stop times. Additionally, sometimes I
need to swap between multiple sources (different youtube videos,
various chapters in a DVD, etc...

What could you suggest doing here? Is there some kind of device that
will allow me to capture all these inputs into one location and then
set start/stop tags? Can I pre-edit the video to combine the sources
to allow easy transition from one to another?
