Yeah, just that it'll still be that much more of a diceroll (NPI)
whether your machine will be able to play Pirates 2 after the Firmware
patch, just as it's that much of a $699 gamble now--
Sounds like they know WE know we're sitting on our hands waiting for the
Standards requirement, and that that's why the existing patch-needed
players haven't been moving off the shelves as of late.
Fortunately, there *aren't* five Blu disks on the list yet that I'd own
as keepers, so they'll need a better incentive than that to bribe me
away from doing my tech-spec homework beforehand.

Need I remind you, as Digital Bits points out, that Warner has stated
there is currently ONE reason why the now dual-format studio hasn't
remastered many of its early PiP and extras-loaded HD's such as "Batman
Begins" for Blu-Ray yet.
And if the specific technical excuses for *not* being able to PiP what
Christopher Nolan had for lunch is what is singlehandedly keeping
"Begins" off of a respectable Blu player and keeping the HD war going, I
SAY WE -FIX- 'EM, F***IN' PRONTO!!!!! @_@
