Why is it when people make a claim that this is something that
genuinely doesn't happen, continue to be dismissive when proof is
shown?

As you said.... "LALALALALALALALALA" "I'm not listening".

I've owned plenty of consoles - but am not a game player. (My kids
however are.) Ive had a go on my "outlaws" Wii - and I made sure that
the straps were on. Yet even so, during a game of Tennis, I managed
(on serve) to hit the lampshade above my head. OK, so no damage or
harm done, but if nothing else it demonstrated first hand there are
risks involved. Now, I'm far from clumsy and do think I look
methodically at things like this - yet this "accident" escaped my
"precautions" and happened all the same. It certainly makes it more
than feasible for accidents to happen to those less vigilant. By all
means, call me a fuckwit (if it makes you feel clever) for falling
into that 99%, but mind you dont take both hands off your eyes when
typing it.
