If they have a demo model set up, you can take a PAL disc with you and
see if it plays. Most US models will not state whether they play PAL
discs or not. I have a Toshiba that says in the manual that it will NOT
play PAL discs, but it does. I found it by taking a disc to Best Buy
and trying it in every player they had.
