Thanks for your thoughts guys. I should have really said that I work for a
school where the students record themselves to DVD. Ideally they should be
able to play the discs anywhere as soon as they are recorded without having
to mess about creating menus every time a new title is added. I bought a
Panasonic ES15 to test, but it seems to take a while to make a menu, and as
already said, you have to manually create one. Sure you can play the discs
elsewhere without a menu, but it isn't very satisfactory. Two years ago, we
bought Sonys, but they had a fault which affected about 15-20 recorders of
the 40 we bought. As you can imagine, I would be keen to try another make.
So far, it seems that Sonys are the only players around at the moment to
automatically create a menu. Surely that is the point of +RW discs?

If you have any other ideas, I would be very grateful.
