As in nature you can't get something for nothing - in DVD recorders the
trade off is between playing time and quality. The longer you want in terms
of playing time the poorer will be the quality.

There is no way to overcome this physical limitation unless you go to DVD9
discs rather than DVD5 or go to a HD recorder.

....and yes this is true for all DVD recorders
