Probably enough to give every cameraperson in Africa a personal PD150

True. But that is due to having production costs as low as possible.
Plus I can imagine wit the constantly changing market, a
tv-station/production-company will also play safe and wait till the
market is settled, and go for cheaper sources.

Yes, true, but in the end, what is left of all yor hard work? People
seem to be full of joy watching your HD-originated material on the
iPod's.

A wedding videographer is a professional too, who chooses the right
tool for his kind of work.
