There is an out-of-print DVD I have been searching for containing
various music videos with alternate karaoke versions. I still haven't
found it, but I did just locate a ripped AVI version of this DVD
online and downloaded it.
It was my understanding that I could use a computer music editor to
"demux" or split the audio files from the video and presto, I would
have the karaoke sound file. But after using such a program, both of
the imbedded sound files contained vocals.
I am soliciting any advice you might have on how I can isolate the
karaoke version from this AVI file. Or is it likely that none exists,
and that getting the DVD is the only way to get those sound files?
FYI, the sound editor I was using is TMPGEnc 4.0 Xpress.
