The link below shows a universal type breakaway cable. The breakaway
portion is about 16" or so from the camera end with XLR connectors at
both ends as well as a stereo mini connectors for audio return. They
also can also be bought with a particular end for which ever audio
mixer you fancy.
I am not personally aware of these cables being made for consumer (RCA
connectors) type equipment.
