There are several apps that will rip to mpeg / divx (autogk.me.uk for
instance), but for general file conversion I use "Super"

Sadly, the owner of the site tried to make it as f*cking hard as
possible to find the download link for some reason...

What might be really useful would be to buy a divx capable player -
that way you should be able to dodge most conversion problems !

I still find I have to re-convert from divx5 to divx4 for my player
though to get the best compatibility :-/
