Assuming the *.VOBs are not encrypted (ALL from commercial DVDs are),
try this: Rename them to *.mpg and try to open them in Premiere.
Should work. If not: Find and D/L "VirtualDub-Mpeg2" (a different
program from VirtualDub-but still freeware...send Avery some money
anyway). Open the *.VOBs, change video compression to some *.avi
codec...like DVSD (miniDV), or whatever you know your Premiere will
open. VirtualDub can also resize the image and re-configure the audio
if you like..
