DVDFAB Platinum is relly good, does it all. Even duplicates protected DVDs

Free Trial at www.dvdfab.com

Easy to use and not slow either.

Converting DVDs to AVIs is a slow process anyway.

4hrs seems a little slow. What CPU are you using, and how much memory?

Hope this helps.
