DVDFAB Platinum is relly good, does it all. Even duplicates protected DVDs
Free Trial at www.dvdfab.com
Easy to use and not slow either.
Converting DVDs to AVIs is a slow process anyway.
4hrs seems a little slow. What CPU are you using, and how much memory?
