Hello folks,

I finally made the leap from VHS to DVD recording yesterday & picked
up the Panasonic DMR-EZ27 DVD recorder at Best Buy.

$259.99 for the unit, $34.99 for a 25 pack of TDK double layer blanks
& $14.99 for a 10 pack of Memorex rewritable discs.

Is there anyone here that has this machine that would be able to
answer a few questions?
Or give a few tips/hints to make using it easier.

My purpose is to use the double layer discs to "archive" old VHS
tapes.
The rewritable discs I plan on using for just everyday taping of cable
TV shows.

The salespeople at BestBuy wasn't exactly the best source of info when
I was there, so calling the store for tech advice doesn't seem like a
good idea.

I have just transfered an old VHS tape to DVD with excellent results.
The problem is, I cannot create any chapters. I believe it's because I
finalized the the disc
right after it was done recording.

Also wondering how easy the scheduled recording of tv shows with the
tuner is.
I don't see a way to program the machine to record on a weekly
schedule yet.
(ie : Channel 7 from 6:00 am to 9:00 am Monday thru Friday)

Thanks in advance.
