As long as your "small panel discussions" group stays small (3 people at
most), that Lowel kit should be just fine.
As far as shipping your gear, look into the cost of sending it Fed-Ex
from location to location as the airline excess baggage charges may be
more than you want to pay.
Also, TSA has a nasty habit of not being very gentle with gear at times.
