I originally posted this in the GPS area...but...struck out on any usable
answer...
################################################################
Yesterday I successfully found; loaded and utilized a program (Switch) to
change WAV files (on my computer) to MP3 format. It worked well. I then
inserted a 2gb SD card into my NUVI 350 GPS and MP3 player...and copied the
data to a new folder
on the card called ...MP3 files.
There is also a file folder called MP3 files on the Nuvi GPS itself., It
contains a half dozen sample songs. The Nuvi GPS seems to read either the
pre-loaded files and/or the files on the card with no trouble.
My problem is that the MP3 files that I copied to the SD card....do not show
the full data for artist and album. They do show the name of the song..but
Nuvi doesn't recognize it, either. Apparently, the data that was part of
the original copy mechanism has been lost.
The two columns for artist and album now have a letter ( A or B or C, etc. )
with no real tie-in to the actual artist. So, when the Nuvi brings up my
directory of songs, under the letter C it might show ten minutes of
songs.....made up of three songs ...with no real explanation of what those
songs are.
How can I change the transferred data on the card to reflect the proper
data? If I do, I assume that Nuvi GPS/MP3 will then show the correct
choices. Any
and all help appreciated. Thanks Rich
