There is also a region free back for this DVD player. Let me know
if you need it. The only annoying thing I have noticed with my own
5140 is that it sometimes brings up the circle and cross out in the
left hand corner during playback. I play DVDs from 2 different
regions, but I am not sure what could be causing this. And yes, I
have made sure I am not hitting any remote control buttons during
playback.

My Sony(a little older but high end) refuses to play DVD+DL
while my low end Liteon recorder plays them just fine. Go figure on
what the manufactures are doing.
