20 years as a full time video producer argues differently. But yes, I
can easily understand that you wouldn't be able to "IMAGINE" something
like that. That would presuppose your HAVING an imagination.

A line and a theme typically used by those who've never been asked to
teach anything to anyone. Appropriately, since arrogance almost always
stands in the way of sharing knowledge.

Yep. As do nearly every other human endeavor outside of charity work.

They suck it out of

Huh? This is vintage nap-speak. Suck what? Most people subscribe to a
magazine or not in ONE sitting, nap, or sign up for an occasional
seminar hoping to improve their skills. Has NOTHING to do with anything
"all year long." Try to hang on to the thread of the argument, OK?

Anyone who has been doing this for a little while

When I was writing for them (the only period about which I have factual
data) there were about 100,000 people a month (the subscribers) who
would disagree. The subscription rolls always had an amazing number of
"production companies" listed. Absolutely not top tier, because the
magazine was never aimed at the experienced, only at those who wanted a
place to LEARN the basics. A job it continues to do well for anyone not
so arrogant as to feel they 'know it all."

But you seem to be stuck

Yep. You're the great god of experience, so sure of your infinite wisdom
that you've stayed hidden for almost a decade on these newsgroups -
hiding behind the kind of lame and archaic "newsgroup handle" that
nearly everyone but the newbies and charlatans have long ago grown
beyond.

I remember when you

Uh, a simple GOOGLE GROUPS search under my REAL NAME will show you that
I was hanging in r.v.p. a good few years before YOU ever showed up. So
sorry, like most of your assertions, this is another string of BS.
Unless of course you were already hiding under yet another assumed name,
fearful, I'm sure, that your self puffery might cause you to need to
slink away, over and over, to change identities.

I

What a HOOT. That line is seriously too perfect to lose. Really, dude.
Listen to your own rhetoric. "I'm so far ahead of you it isn't even
funny"

Man, even my son grew out of spouting stuff like that on the playground
in about the 4th grade.

And now you're a speaker. Let me guess.. you were so

Thanks for mentioning the DVD. Since you bring it up, I'll note that
we've now sold the program into every continent other than Antartica,
and that our Classroom Workshop Edition is currently being used in
schools in 8 US states including NY and California. Oh, and the product
is being featured as one of the top 100 Digital Educational Software
Resources in the industry's top trade magazine - Scholastic, next month.

Well, my identity is actually Bill Davis. Something that unlike you, I'm
proud enough of to stand behind. If my real identity is "not much" than
your FAKE identity must be worth... well, I'll leave it to other readers
to decide.

Yep, I'll bet there are FCP users in LA that make $15 an hour. There are
also quite a few that make VASTLY more than that. Just like there are
artists who sell stuff on the street corner for 25 bucks - and those who
sell stuff for hundreds of thousands or millions per work.

Some people simply have the brains not to confuse the tool with the
person using it.

A concept which is clearly too mentally arduous for you.

(Thanks for the fun, dude, I've been too busy to come spar with anyone
on newsgroups in a long time. It's nostalgically satisfying in some
vaguely queasy way.)
