Well, it's gone beyond a matter of "hoping":
Just about every industry article for the past eight months has stopped
*wondering* what would happen at the CES'08--
And most tech predictions now already start with "What will happen to
the industry after January", as if it's been some predestined
surrender/public humiliation for HD's industry isolation, that's already
been set up as an established fact on the show schedule months in advance...

While we sit here thinking, "Yeah, yeah, we know, but is it January YET?"
