Okay, so I'm ripping a scene from a commercial DVD for use in a
personal/non-profit video.
I've ripped the scene with DVD Decrypter and converted it to avi with
Auto Gordion Knot.
At first, Vegas didn't even want to recognize the file... it showed me
only the audio, not video, when I took it into the program.
Then I put it into Virtual Dub and simply re-saved as an avi again...
Vegas showed me the video this time but it clearly doesn't "like" the
file... it freezes a fair amount and sometimes even crashes when I
have this file on the timeline.
What is the best way to get a ripped DVD scene into Vegas without the
pain?
