Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of DARK WATER, ENRON: THE SMARTEST
GUYS IN THE ROOM, FERNGULLY: THE LAST RAINFOREST: FAMILY FUN EDITION,
LADY SINGS THE BLUES, THE LEGEND OF ZORRO, RIDE THE HIGH COUNTRY, SAVING
FACE, WALT DISNEY TREASURES: DISNEY RARITIES, WE'RE NO ANGELS, and THE
WILD BUNCH: THE ORIGINAL DIRECTOR'S CUT:

DARK WATER (reviewed by Brett Cullum, overall score 86/100):
"Even I was surprised to find out Dark Water is more of a domestic
drama than your typical 'things go bump and drip in the night' tale.
It's interesting, creepy, and emotionally satisfying; however, it is
not scary."

ENRON: THE SMARTEST GUYS IN THE ROOM (reviewed by Mike Jackson, overall
score 93/100):
"So, what did Lay, Skilling, and Fastow do, exactly? Contrary to the
title of the film, its story plays like a Complete Idiot's Guide to
Corporate Malfeasance."

FERNGULLY: THE LAST RAINFOREST: FAMILY FUN EDITION (reviewed by Jonathan
Weiss, overall score 86/100):
"Ferngully: The Last Rainforest isn't a long movie and chugs along at a
pretty quick clip, but even so, it would have been nice if they could
have found a way (or the time) to include a little more character
development."

LADY SINGS THE BLUES (reviewed by Maurice Cobbs, overall score 80/100):
"Although I certainly would not expect a biopic to be pedantic about
presenting the details of its subject's life, it does seem odd that so
much of this life is left, as it were, on the cutting-room floor."

THE LEGEND OF ZORRO (reviewed by James A. Stewart, overall score
88/100):
"Part of the reason that Legend of Zorro didn't make as big a mark as
The Mask of Zorro at the box office is that people knew exactly what to
expect, and they were right."

RIDE THE HIGH COUNTRY (reviewed by Ryan Keefer, overall score 86/100):
"This is one of the first Peckinpah films I can ever recall seeing, and
to see it all over again was a treat."

FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/ridehighcountry.php

SAVING FACE (reviewed by Joel Pearce, overall score 89/100):
"The main reason for Saving Face's success is a collection of flawless
performances."

FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/savingface.php

WALT DISNEY TREASURES: DISNEY RARITIES (reviewed by Mike Pinsky, overall
score 88/100):
"Perhaps because it is such a disparate collection of material, Disney
Rarities disappoints as much as it surprises."

FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/disneyrarities.php

WE'RE NO ANGELS (reviewed by Steve Evans, overall score 80/100):
"Since this is technically a Christmas movie, We're No Angels could
serve as amusing counter-programming to all the holiday schmaltz that
plagues the airwaves from the day after Thanksgiving through December
25. That's reason enough to turn this disc loose on the world."

THE WILD BUNCH: THE ORIGINAL DIRECTOR'S CUT (reviewed by Ryan Keefer,
overall score 97/100):
"The film's edits set a record for the time, but the edits also put the
viewer in the middle of the chaos. Because, dear reader, when one's in
the middle of a gunfight in a sleepy town, one would expect a lot of
people running around and scurrying for safety."
