Yep, that's generally their way of doing it. Another benefit is that new
video content can be delivered to each local hard drive over the network
during "off air" time, and will play automatically according to the
software control suite.

IIRC, you load them into the server as MPEG files from a data DVD, or
other method.
These systems are robust and work well. They were originally developed by
Electrosonics for huge theme parks like Disneyland, etc., to distribute
media all over the place. If they work in that envoirnment, they'll work
in your museum...
