I'm thinking now they're probably scared of the risks.  But yes, 
the ones who are stupid about it, like ignoring me because a 
first connection attempt timed out, definitely.

I'm noticing that about 30% (maybe more) of the people connecting 
to me are traders.  I'll browse them and see they have a copy of 
a file I'm trying to get, but they're not sharing it.  If you 
click it from their browse results, it turns red on-screen.  They 
don't show up in the search results, and unless you want to 
haggle (which I don't), they're not ever going to let you get 
anything from them. 
 
I'm not sure if this is a self-protection attempt or what.  I 
can't do the same (I have the crippled WinMX from WinMX4U or 
whatever the link was), so this must be a Moni feature, although 
even people on OpenNap using Lopster seem to be able to do it, 
too.  It's not something I'd want to do.  I check my queue 
manually to make informed judgments about who's a legitimate 
sharer and who's not.
