Some people seemed to not like Season 2, but I thought it superb...
Their complaint is that its different (it doesn't quite feature the
heavy focus of stringer/barksdale crowd), but then who can complain
after only one season of the drama.

It does stick out as unusual in that sense (not seen 4 yet), but
season 3 is closer to 1...
